I’m using the MSSQL database for my in-house developed application but after restarting the server I’m unable to start the mssqld service.
When I’m executing the below command to start the mssql database it is giving me error:
# service mssqld start
unable to start mssql service “another mysql daemon already running with the same unix socket” error
Now to start the MSSQL service, Remove the socket from ‘/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock’ path.
Use below command to remove the socket file:
# rm /var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
rm: remove socket `/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock’? yes
Now start the MSSQL service by using below command:
#service mysqld start
Starting mysqld: [ OK ]
Now I’m able to access my application 🙂
