I’m trying to take my HANA database backup through HANA studio, It was giving me below error:
2016-07-11T16:58:14+05:30 P011100 155d9b6f6aa ERROR BACKUP SAVE DATA finished with error: backup could not be completed, Cannot open file “”<root>/.COMPLETE_DATA_BACKUP_databackup_0_1” ((closed, mode= W, access= rw-r—–, flags= DIRECT|TRUNCATE|MULTI_WRITERS|UNALIGNED_SIZE), factory= (root= “/backup/” (access= rw-r—–, flags= AUTOCREATE_PATH|DISKFULL_ERROR, usage= DATA_BACKUP, fs= UNSUPPORTED (ext4), config= (async_write_submit_active=auto,async_write_submit_blocks=new,async_read_submit=off,num_submit_queues=1,num_completion_queues=1,size_kernel_io_queue=512,max_parallel_io_requests=64,min_submit_batch_size=16,max_submit_batch_size=64))”, rc=13: Permission denied
The backup was getting initiated by sidadm user and it is getting saved on “puruhanadb-backup” and it is owned by root user so need to change the ownership of the same directory to sidadm and group is sapsys.
Below is the command to change the owner and group of the directory:
chown sidadm:sapsys puruhanadb-backup
After changing the ownership and group the backup has completed successfully.
